Uncle Mikes
The Uncle Mike's 18015 Mag Cap Swivel Set is a straightforward solution for adding sling attachment points to your 20 gauge Remington 870 or 870 Youth without permanent modifications. This quick-detach sling swivel system replaces the factory magazine cap with a steel component that already has the front swivel stud integrated, eliminating the need to drill, tap, or alter your shotgun's receiver or furniture.
If you run a shotgun for hunting, sport shooting, or home defense and want the flexibility of a sling without gunsmithing work, this Uncle Mike's set handles the job cleanly. The steel construction with blue finish resists corrosion and blends with most shotgun aesthetics. The 1" loop quick-detach swivels let you attach and remove a sling in seconds, useful whether you're transitioning between carry and low-ready, or swapping between armed and unarmed carry modes.
Installation is simple: the mag cap swivel replaces your existing magazine tube cap, and the included wood screw base attaches to the buttstock. Both connection points then accept the two super swivels that come in the set. Because it uses the magazine cap as the mounting point, you're not drilling new holes or permanently altering your gun—a major advantage if you prefer to keep your shotgun in factory condition or want the option to revert the setup later.

No. The mag cap swivel replaces your existing magazine tube cap, so the front attachment point requires no drilling. The rear attachment uses a wood screw base that fastens to the buttstock. Because no holes are drilled into the receiver or permanently altered, you can remove the system and return your shotgun to factory condition if needed.
The set includes the replacement magazine cap with integrated swivel stud, two super swivels with 1" quick-detach loops, and a wood screw base for the buttstock. This is everything needed to install front and rear sling attachment points on your shotgun.
Yes. The 1" quick-detach loops are designed to accept standard sling hardware and swivels. Once installed, the sling attaches and detaches quickly without tools, making it easy to add or remove carry capacity as needed for hunting or shooting.
