The Trijicon HD XR night sight set for Smith & Wesson M&P, SD9 VE, and SD40 VE pistols brings law enforcement–grade night sight technology to your duty or carry gun. Built on proven HD night sight fundamentals, the XR model refines the design for faster target acquisition and extended engagement distances. The thinner front sight post opens up your sight picture, letting you spot targets more quickly and track hits downrange without losing your field of view—crucial when every millisecond counts in low-light scenarios.

These are tritium-phosphor night sights, meaning they glow in total darkness without batteries or activation. The green tritium lamps are factory-warranted for 12 years, so you get a long service life from the passive illumination. Protective aluminum cylinders shield the tritium reservoirs, while a sapphire window protects the lamp itself. The classic 3-dot U-notch rear configuration pairs with the narrower front post for a sight picture that balances speed and precision in any light.

Installation is straightforward but professional gunsmithing is recommended to ensure proper fit and zero on your specific pistol. These sights are engineered for the M&P full-size and compact frames, SD9 VE, and SD40 VE—not compatible with M&P SHIELD or C.O.R.E. models.
