Traditions
Traditions 30mm extra high tactical black Picatinny rings give you a solid, no-nonsense mounting solution for AR-platform rifles. Built with oversized hex nut ring bases and heavy-duty hardware, these four-screw rings clamp your scope down hard to a flattop receiver without flex or creep. The extra-wide ring design spreads clamping force across the scope tube for secure, repeatable positioning—critical whether you're running a red dot, low-power variable, or long-range optic on a duty rifle, competition build, or hunting AR.
The extra-high ring height is designed to clear AR front sight posts and give you the clearance you need when mounting optics on low rails or when using magnified glass in a competitive or tactical configuration. Matte black finish resists glare and pairs with any modern AR setup. If you're building a reliable, repeatable AR platform—whether for precision rifle work, 3-gun, or field duty—these rings handle the job with zero fuss.
Traditions keeps the design simple: heavy material, smart geometry, proper hardware. No advertising, no gimmicks. Just rings that stay put.
| Ring Diameter | 30mm |
| Ring Height | Extra High |
| Attachment Method | 4-screw Picatinny mount |
| Finish | Matte Black |
| Platform Compatibility | Flattop AR receiver / Picatinny rail |
Yes. These Traditions rings mount to any flattop AR receiver or Picatinny rail system using the four-screw attachment pattern. They're designed specifically for AR platforms.
Extra-high rings give you clearance to mount optics on a standard AR without interference from fixed front sights, gas blocks, or accessories mounted lower on the rail. They're also the right choice if you're using a wide-bodied scope or magnified optic that needs more breathing room.
These rings are designed for 30mm scope tubes, the most common diameter for modern tactical and hunting optics.
The oversized hex nut bases and extra-wide ring design distribute clamping force over a larger area of the scope tube, reducing the risk of marring and providing a rock-solid hold without relying on extreme tightness.
