Tipton
The Tipton Deluxe 1-Piece Carbon Fiber Cleaning Rod for Firearms is built for shooters who want to maintain their bore without the risk of damage that comes with traditional steel or coated rods. Carbon fiber combines durability with safety: it won't scratch rifling like bare steel, and unlike coated rods, it won't trap fine abrasive particles that could act as sandpaper inside your bore. The material itself is flexible enough to bend under stress but returns to true straightness, making it reliable for years of field and range use.
What sets the Deluxe version apart is the engineering where it counts. The ergonomic handle spins freely on two sets of ball bearings, allowing the shaft to follow your rifling smoothly during both push and pull strokes—even when you're applying real pressure. The handle stays put in your hand while the rod rotates beneath it, reducing bind and the fatigue that comes with fighting a stiff cleaning session. Shank-through construction means you can apply controlled hammer blows to drive a tight patch through, useful when crud is stubborn or your bore is tight.
Available in four different diameters and six lengths, the Deluxe rod fits most rifle, pistol, and shotgun configurations. Rifle and handgun versions use 8-32 threading (5-40 for .17 and .20 caliber), while shotgun rods feature 5/16"-27 threads—standard across the industry for accessory compatibility. A hang hole in the handle makes storage and organization easy, and the whole package is engineered to handle the demands of serious shooters who clean often and expect their gear to last.
