TH Marine
The TH Marine Rod Tamer 14" Deck Mount is a heavy-duty rod holder engineered to keep your fishing rods secure and organized on deck without the headaches of older strap designs. Built from black polyurethane that resists sun damage and most chemicals, it won't degrade or lose elasticity season after season—unlike traditional hook-and-loop systems that snag on tackle and fail when wet. The 14" size works well for boats where deck space or construction (aluminum hulls, foam-filled fiberglass) rules out a gunwale mount. Simply stretch the strap over your rod and hook it into the base-mounted loop; the countersunk screw attachment keeps everything flush and clean.
Anglers who've fought with floppy rod holders or watched straps fail mid-trip know the value of gear that actually stays put. This deck mount version is built to handle saltwater spray, freshwater silt, and the constant flex of active fishing days. There's no complicated installation, no moving parts to wear out, and no need to remove the holder when you're not using it—just unhook and go.
Whether you're running a bass boat, flats skiff, or center console where your deck layout calls for a stationary mount, the Rod Tamer keeps rods where they belong: secure, accessible, and ready to grab. The simple, proven design has earned trust among anglers who demand reliability in rough conditions.

Yes. The TH Marine Rod Tamer 14" Deck Mount is specifically designed for aluminum hulls and foam-filled fiberglass boats where a retracting gunwale mount isn't an option. The deck-mount design secures with a single countersunk screw and works on any deck with clearance for the strap.
Stretch the polyurethane strap over your rod and hook the end into the loop mounted on your deck. The countersunk screw attachment keeps the base secure and low-profile. Simply unhook the strap when you need to remove a rod.
No. The black polyurethane is formulated to resist UV damage and saltwater exposure while retaining its stretch and elasticity. Unlike older hook-and-loop straps, it won't fade, harden, or lose its grip when wet.
The smooth polyurethane design won't catch on fish hooks or fishing line the way traditional hook-and-loop straps do, making it safer and easier to use in active fishing conditions.
