Taurus
The Taurus Raging Hunter .454 Casull revolver is a serious big-bore handgun built for hunters and shooters who demand power and reliability in the field. Chambered in the hard-hitting .454 Casull cartridge, this 8.375-inch barrel revolver delivers the energy needed for medium-range hunting scenarios where a rifle isn't practical. The Raging Hunter earned the 2019 American Hunter Handgun of the Year Golden Bullseye Award—recognition that reflects both its innovative engineering and proven track record among hunters who know what works.
What sets this Taurus revolver apart is its purposeful design. The angular barrel profile reduces weight without compromising durability, while the factory-tuned porting and gas expansion chamber tame muzzle rise—a critical advantage when you need fast, accurate follow-up shots. Five rounds of .454 Casull give you the firepower you need, and the double-action/single-action trigger lets you shoot at your own pace. Cushioned grips absorb recoil and keep your grip secure even when the gun's talking back to you. The fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight are no-nonsense iron sights, and a transfer bar safety mechanism ensures secure carry.
This is a large-frame revolver built for adults serious about hunting or sport shooting with magnum-class handguns. The matte black finish is straightforward—no flash, just practical corrosion resistance and a professional appearance. At 15 inches overall and just under 3.6 pounds, it's substantial in the hand but manageable in the field.
