The Taurus Judge Public Defender is a unique revolver built around dual-caliber versatility: it chambers both .45 Colt and .410 bore shotgun shells, giving you flexibility in a compact defensive package. This FDE-finished model pairs a polymer frame in flat dark earth with a stainless steel cylinder, striking a balance between durability and manageable weight for everyday carry or home defense. With a 2-inch barrel and 5-round capacity, the Judge Public Defender is built small enough to handle but substantial enough to deliver serious stopping power in close-quarters situations.

The revolver operates in both single and double action, with a spurred hammer for cocking and a transfer bar safety to prevent accidental discharge. Sights are practical for its role: a fiber optic front sight pairs with an adjustable rear, letting you dial in your shot at defensive distances. The rubber grips provide a secure hold even under stress, while the overall package weighs just 27 ounces unloaded—light enough for consistent carry without becoming a burden.

Whether you're stacking .45 Colt rounds for raw power or loading .410 shot shells for spread and versatility, the Judge Public Defender gives you options. It's a revolver that doesn't ask you to choose between shotgun and pistol power; it simply lets you have both. The compact 7.62-inch overall length and single-stack profile make it suited to appendix or strong-side carry, making it a thoughtful choice for shooters who value adaptability in their defensive tool.
