Taurus
The Taurus Judge Public Defender 410/45 revolver is a compact, versatile defensive handgun built around a unique dual-caliber design that fires both .45 Long Colt and .410 bore ammunition. With a 2-inch barrel and five-round cylinder, this small-frame revolver delivers serious stopping power in a package designed for close-quarters protection—making it a trusted choice for home defense, vehicle carry, and backup roles where reliability and firepower matter.
Built rugged from day one, the Judge Public Defender combines a steel cylinder with a lightweight polymer frame finished in gray, keeping overall weight down to 27 ounces unloaded while maintaining the durability you expect from a defensive revolver. The single/double-action trigger gives you flexibility in how you shoot it, while the spurred hammer lets you cock for precision shots or work the double-action trigger for rapid fire when seconds count.
Sights are matched to the mission: a fiber optic front sight gathers light for fast target acquisition, backed by an adjustable rear sight for zeroing at defensive distances. The transfer bar safety prevents accidental discharge, and the Taurus rubber grips provide positive control and reduce recoil impulse shot to shot. At just 7.62 inches overall, this revolver conceals easily while offering the raw versatility of dual-caliber capability—load .45 Long Colt for deep penetration or .410 shot for wider spread at typical home-defense ranges.
