Taurus
The Taurus G3 Full Size 9mm pistol is a duty-ready striker-fired handgun built for shooters who want reliable performance, ergonomic control, and practical features without excess complexity. This 4-inch barreled 9mm comes in a tan polymer frame paired with stainless steel slide and barrel—a durable, low-maintenance combination that works in the field or on the range. Whether you're carrying for defense, training at distance, or running drills, the G3 delivers the kind of predictable handling that builds confidence through repetition.
The grip is where Taurus invested real thought: generous stippling patches across the polymer frame bite into your palm and fingers for positive control in wet conditions, stress, or gloved hands. The ergonomic palm swell sits naturally under your hand, and the side-frame Memory Pads guide your grip into the same position shot after shot—that consistency matters when precision and speed count. An integrated Picatinny rail under the dust cover gives you options for a light or laser without custom work. The manual safety and slide release are positioned high and inline with your thumb, making manipulation instinctive and fast.
The trigger is a standout for a striker-fired platform: 6-pound pull with smooth take-up and a crisp, clean break that outperforms typical polymer-frame triggers. The short reset promotes rapid, controlled follow-up shots without sacrificing control on the first round. Add in single-action capability with restrike function, fixed white-dot front and drift-adjustable serrated steel rear sights, and a loaded-chamber indicator, and you're looking at a working pistol that respects its job. Two 17-round magazines (with 15-round capacity as an alternative) keep you fed for extended range sessions or training.
At 24.83 ounces and 7.28 inches overall, the G3 sits in that sweet spot between compact carry and full-size control—substantial enough to manage recoil and sight radius but not so large it demands a belt-fed holster setup. Stainless slide and barrel resist corrosion; the tan polymer frame is durable and lightweight. This is a no-nonsense pistol: reliable, ergonomic, accurate, and backed by honest engineering.
