Taurus
The Taurus G3 full-size 9mm pistol bridges the gap between budget-conscious shooters and those who refuse to compromise on ergonomics or trigger quality. This 4-inch barreled striker-fired pistol combines a purpose-built grip design with a trigger that punches above its weight class—literally a 6-pound pull with a smooth take-up and crisp break that outperforms many pistols at twice the price. Whether you're training for concealed carry, running drills at the range, or building a reliable duty gun, the G3 delivers accessible performance without the typical compromises of entry-level firearms.
The full-size frame is the real story here. Taurus engineered it with substantial stippling patches and a contoured palm swell that locks your hand in place—especially critical if you're training in adverse conditions or under stress. The side-frame Memory Pads reinforce that hand positioning, so your grip is consistent shot to shot. A short trigger reset encourages fast, controlled follow-ups, and the re-strike capability means you can attempt another shot without manipulating the slide—handy if a primer fails or you need a secondary attempt downrange. The manual safety and slide release sit high and tight above the thumb, right where your hand naturally wants to be.
Practical touches make the G3 a thinking shooter's gun. The integrated Picatinny rail lets you mount a light or laser without hunting for adapters. Fixed white-dot front and serrated drift-adjustable rear sights keep the sight picture simple and reliable. The stainless steel slide wears a matte finish that resists glare without being fussy, while the gray polymer frame absorbs knocks and doesn't scream for a safe. You get two 17-round magazines out of the box—plenty of capacity for any range session or training evolution. At just under 25 ounces, it carries like a full-size should: substantial enough to manage recoil and settle quickly between shots, but nimble enough for everyday carry if that's your mission.
This is a no-nonsense 9mm for shooters who value trigger quality, ergonomics, and value. The G3 doesn't chase trends; it just works.
