Swampfox Optics
The Swampfox Optics Warhorse 1-6x24mm is a first focal plane illuminated rifle scope built for shooters who need speed and precision in the same optic. This 34mm-tube LPVO (low-power variable) transitions from 1x magnification for rapid close-range work to 6x for reaching out, making it equally at home on a patrol rifle, hunting platform, or competition setup. The Dragoon MOA illuminated reticle stays true across the magnification range, so your holds and dope are consistent whether you're moving through a neighborhood or settling in for a longer shot.
Build quality is where the Warhorse earns its name. The scope seats in a 34mm tube with fully multi-coated glass and hydrophobic lens treatment—oil and water bead right off. You get a push-pull elevation turret with zero reset for solid reference work, while the capped windage turret keeps accidental bumps from throwing your zero. The 12-position illumination system runs on a side-mounted CR2032 battery and includes night vision compatibility, so whether you're hunting in low light or running white light at dusk, the Dragoon reticle stays bright and usable. Eye relief holds steady across the magnification range, and the fast-focus diopter (-2 to +2) lets you dial the reticle sharp to your eye in seconds.
Ruggedness isn't just marketing speak here. The Warhorse is rated IPX7 waterproof and handles 1,100 G-forces of impact. This is a scope that'll stay reliable after hard use—whether that's a season in the field, time on the bench, or deployed in a duty rifle. At 1-6 magnification, it fills the practical middle ground: fast enough for close work, powerful enough for 300-yard hunts or longer-range precision work, without the bulk of a 4-16x30.

Yes. The 1x magnification setting is optimized for rapid target acquisition and close-range engagements, while the 6x magnification reaches out to 300+ yards depending on your load, rifle, and shooting skill. The FFP reticle design means your MOA holds remain accurate across the entire magnification range, making it versatile for hunting, sport shooting, and duty applications.
Yes. The Warhorse's 12-position green illumination system is night vision compatible. You can run it on lower brightness settings for ambient light shooting or dial it up for daytime use without needing to remove or adjust your night vision setup.
The scope comes in two reticle options: Dragoon MOA (which this product features) with 1/4 MOA clicks, or Dragoon MIL. Both are etched and illuminated. MOA is more intuitive if you think in inches at distance; MIL is common in precision long-range and military circles. Choose based on your existing dope and preference.
The push-pull elevation turret has a zero-reset feature, allowing you to lock your zero reference and return to it consistently. The capped windage turret prevents accidental adjustments from knocking your sight in. Both are user-friendly for field adjustments and recalibration.
