Swampfox Optics
The Swampfox Optics Warhorse 1-6x24mm FFP rifle scope is a first focal plane low-power variable optic (LPVO) built for shooters who demand speed without sacrificing precision. Whether you're running close-quarters tactical drills, hunting in mixed terrain, or stretching shots to 600 yards, this 34mm tube scope handles the full spectrum. The 1x magnification opens the field of view wide for rapid target acquisition, then transitions smoothly to 6x for resolving details and dialing long-range shots. It's the kind of do-everything optic that works equally well on an AR carbine, a hunting rifle, or a precision semi-auto platform.
What sets the Warhorse apart is the thoughtful turret design. The elevation turret locks with a push/pull mechanism and features a zero-reset function—critical for reliable holds after impact or in variable shooting conditions. The capped windage turret resists accidental adjustment during transit or in the field. Those 12 illumination settings let you run ambient light in daylight or dial down to a whisper-thin dot for night vision work. The Dragoon reticle—available in MOA or MIL—is etched in the first focal plane, so it maintains proper scaling across the entire magnification range; that matters when you're moving fast between distances.
Glass and coatings are where Swampfox prioritizes. The optic is fully multi-coated, anti-fog, and hydrophobic, meaning you retain clarity in rain, snow, or humidity. A side-mounted CR2032 battery powers the illumination without adding bulk to the turret stack. The scope is waterproof to IPX7 and handles 1,100 G-forces of recoil impact—real durability credentials for serious use. At 3.43 to 3.5 inches of eye relief across the magnification range, the cheek weld stays comfortable whether you're mounted on a pistol-grip tactical build or a traditional hunting stock.
The Warhorse is for hunters and shooters who've learned that one-trick-pony optics waste time in the real world. You need something that works from contact distance to 600 yards, illuminated but not dependent on it, and built to weather actual conditions. This scope delivers that balance.

FFP scopes place the reticle in the first focal plane, meaning the reticle size and hash marks scale proportionally with the magnification. On the Warhorse, that means your Dragoon reticle stays true for holdovers, windage corrections, and rangefinding across the entire 1–6x range. On a second focal plane scope, the reticle would only be accurate at one magnification power. For a do-everything optic that transitions between close and distant targets, FFP is the smarter design.
Yes. The illumination system includes 12 settings and is night vision compatible, allowing you to use the reticle with NV devices when ambient light is minimal. The side-mounted CR2032 battery keeps the turret profile clean and functional.
The Warhorse is offered with either a Dragoon MIL reticle or a Dragoon MOA reticle, both etched and illuminated. Both are in the first focal plane. Choose based on your preferred unit of adjustment for your rifle system and ballistic data.
