The Strike Industries Sidewinder Gen 2 offset flip-up sight set gives AR-15 shooters a versatile backup optic solution that works equally well behind red dots or magnified scopes. Built from steel and aircraft aluminum, these low-profile sights flip between a 45-degree offset position for close-quarters work and a traditional inline configuration—two sight systems in one package. The SI-Ambush mounting system keeps the profile minimal so even large objective lenses won't interfere, while the offset design lets you access your backup sights instantly without removing your primary optic.

Competition shooters and field operators shaped the Gen 2 design, pushing Strike Industries to engineer sights that handle not just 5.56 but larger calibers and demanding environments without sacrificing speed or reliability. No special tools required—windage and elevation dial adjustments are tool-less, so you can fine-tune your zero on the range or make quick corrections downrange. Whether you're running a mid-length or carbine-length AR, these sights nest cleanly alongside rails and optics common to modern tactical and hunting builds.

The dual-mode design appeals to shooters who want true backup capability without the extra weight or complexity of running two separate sight systems. Hunters stacking magnified optics, 3-gun competitors, and carbine enthusiasts appreciate the instant transition to close-range aiming when magnification becomes a liability. Steel and aluminum construction means these sights will hold zero and handle recoil year after year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Sidewinder Gen 2 fit under my magnified scope?

Yes. The SI-Ambush mounting system is designed with a low profile that won't interfere with large objective lenses, allowing the offset sights to coexist with magnified optics without obstruction.

Can I use these sights with a red dot instead of offset?

Absolutely. The Sidewinder Gen 2 flips between 45-degree offset mode and traditional inline configuration, so you can run them as a co-witness or lower-third mount behind a red dot, or switch to offset depending on your setup.

Do I need tools to adjust the sights?

No. Windage and elevation adjustments are made via tool-less dials, letting you fine-tune your zero quickly on the range or in the field without carrying extra gear.

What calibers are these designed for?

The Sidewinder Gen 2 is rated to handle 5.56 and larger calibers, making it suitable for a wide range of AR-15 builds and hunting or tactical applications.
