Spro
The Spro Little John MD 50 1/2oz Nasty Shad is a shallow crankbait built to reach the mid-depth zones where bass hold along drop-offs and ledges. Designed in collaboration with B.A.S.S. Elite Series pro John Crews, this 50mm crankbait dives to 7–9 feet on 10-pound mono—deeper than the original Little John 50—making it ideal for probing structure that suspending bass prefer. The Nasty Shad color pattern triggers strikes in a range of light conditions, from dingy water to bright days.
What sets the Little John MD 50 apart is its Soft Tungsten Weight Transfer System. This internal mechanism shifts weight during the cast for better distance and accuracy, then repositions during the retrieve to maintain a tight, efficient action as the bait digs toward its target depth. The result is a crankbait that tracks true and covers water efficiently without excessive wobble or drag.
Rigged with Gamakatsu #5 NSB (Non-Slip Bend) Round Bend treble hooks, the Little John MD 50 is built to stick when a bass commits. These hooks are known for their reliability and hookup performance across a range of strikes. Whether you're working early season ledges, mid-summer depth transitions, or fall feeding zones, this crankbait gives you precise depth control and a presentation bass can't ignore.

The Soft Tungsten Weight Transfer System is an internal mechanism that shifts weight during the cast to improve distance and accuracy, then repositions during the retrieve to maintain consistent, balanced action as the crankbait digs. This design reduces drag and helps the bait maintain a tight, true track.
The Little John MD 50 measures 50mm in length and weighs ½ oz, making it a compact, easy-casting option that's still substantial enough to reach deeper structure and cast efficiently in various conditions.
The bait is rigged with Gamakatsu #5 NSB (Non-Slip Bend) Round Bend treble hooks, known for their strength and hookup reliability across a range of strike angles and fish sizes.
