The Sightmark Presidio 1-6x24 CR1 SFP riflescope is a versatile optic built for shooters who need flexibility across close-range and mid-distance engagements. Whether you're running an AR platform or a bolt-action rifle, this 1-6x magnification scope delivers the wide field of view you want up close while giving you enough zoom to reach out and place precise shots. The second focal plane design with a BDC reticle calibrated for .223/5.56 ammunition (55-grain) makes it particularly at home on modern sporting rifles and hunting setups where that cartridge dominates.

What sets the Presidio apart is its balance of rugged functionality and shooter-friendly design. The illuminated red reticle cuts through low-light conditions and helps you acquire targets fast without losing contrast. The capped low-profile turrets feature aggressive knurling—that textured grip—so you can dial windage and elevation confidently, and they deliver crisp, audible clicks with every adjustment. Built-in zero stops mean you can return to your zero without overthinking it. All of this sits in a single-piece 30mm tube machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, engineered to handle recoil and rough field use. The scope is fully multi-coated to maximize light transmission, and it's sealed to IP67 standards, so dust and water won't compromise your zero.

Sightmark includes everything you need to get going: flip-up lens covers to protect your glass, a throw lever for quick magnification changes, and a CR2032 battery for the illuminated reticle. This is a scope that doesn't pretend to be something it isn't—it's a practical, durable hunting and shooting optic that works hard on both dedicated rifles and AR builds.

Frequently Asked Questions

What rifles and calibers is the Presidio 1-6x24 compatible with?

This scope is ideal for AR-15 platforms and bolt-action rifles chambered in .223/5.56, which is what the BDC reticle is calibrated for. The 1-6x magnification makes it especially practical for modern sporting rifles, but it will mount on any rifle with a standard Picatinny rail and accept a 30mm scope ring. If you shoot a different caliber, you'll still use the scope—you'll just need to zero it and rely on your own ballistic knowledge beyond the reticle's calibrated holds.

Is the illuminated reticle waterproof?

Yes. The scope itself is sealed to IP67 standards, meaning it's dustproof and waterproof. The illumination system uses a CR2032 battery, which is included, and operates within that sealed design.

What magnification should I use for close-range and longer-distance shooting?

The 1x setting is your close-range, speed-shooting mode—wide field of view, both-eyes-open engagement. As you dial up toward 6x, you gain magnification for target acquisition and precision at distance. The 6:1 zoom ratio means the scope is equally at home in a hunting scenario where you go from 20-yard encounters to 100+ yard shots, or on a carbine where you transition between room-distance targets and defensive shooting at range.

What comes in the box?

Sightmark includes the scope with the illuminated reticle and 30mm tube, flip-up lens covers, a throw lever attachment for magnification adjustment, and one CR2032 battery for the illuminated reticle.
