Sig Sauer
The Sig Sauer Echo Thermal 2-16x 50mm is a precision thermal riflescope built for hunters and precision shooters who need to see and engage targets in complete darkness. Unlike traditional night vision that relies on ambient light, this thermal optic detects heat signatures, making it equally effective in total darkness, fog, smoke, and heavy brush. The 2-16x magnification range gives you flexibility from closer hunting distances to extended-range shooting, while the 50mm objective gathers enough thermal data for clean, detailed images across realistic hunting and field distances.
The heart of the Echo is a LWIR (long-wave infrared) 640x512 thermal core with 12-micron resolution and 20mK sensitivity—specs that translate to crisp target definition and reliable performance in challenging conditions. An integrated 1000-yard laser rangefinder eliminates guesswork, and the onboard environmental sensors feed real-time data into the ballistic solution. BDX 2.0 integration pairs the scope with Sig's Applied Ballistics Ultralight calculator, so wind, angle, temperature, and bullet drop are computed and displayed without reaching for charts or a phone.
Practical field features matter: eight color palette options let you optimize contrast for different lighting conditions and terrain. Record capability means you can document hunts as still images and video with audio. Two rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion batteries deliver 11+ hours of runtime, and the scope also accepts four CR123A cells as a backup. The cantilevered Picatinny rail mount integrates directly onto your rifle without extra adapters. Configure and update settings through the BDX App, and stream live video to a paired device for remote observation or longer-range spotting.
This is a serious, feature-rich thermal optic for hunters, long-range shooters, and field professionals who demand precision and reliability in low-light or no-light environments.

Thermal scopes detect heat signatures emitted by living animals and warm objects, so they work in complete darkness and through fog, smoke, and obscured brush. Traditional night vision amplifies ambient light and won't function in total darkness. For hunting at night or in poor visibility, thermal is the more reliable choice across varied field conditions.
Yes, the Echo 2-16x comes with a cantilevered Picatinny rail mount that mounts directly to your rifle.
The integrated 1000-yard laser rangefinder is built in, so you measure distance and feed it directly to the ballistic solver without needing an external device. However, you can always measure distance manually if preferred.
A single pair of rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion batteries provides 11+ hours of continuous runtime. You can also use four CR123A batteries as a backup power source.
