SIERRA BULLETS
The Sierra BlitzKing 25 Caliber 90 Grain Polymer Tip Boat Tail bullets (257 diameter) are purpose-built for reloaders who want explosive performance on varmints and small game without sacrificing accuracy at longer ranges. These rounds combine Sierra's proven MatchKing accuracy pedigree with a proprietary polymer tip and thin-jacketed construction designed to expand reliably and catastrophically on impact. The boat-tail design enhances ballistic efficiency, making them a smart choice for extended-range varmint hunting where you need both precision and terminal performance.
The 90-grain configuration strikes a balance between velocity and downrange energy, filling a gap in Sierra's 25-caliber lineup for hunters and reloaders pursuing varmints beyond close range. The thin jacket accelerates expansion while the boat-tail geometry helps these rounds maintain velocity and trajectory over distance. Whether you're working up loads for a 257 Roberts, 25-06 Remington, or another 25-caliber hunting round, these bullets reward careful handloading with consistent ballistics and lethal terminal results.
Sierra's BlitzKing line has earned its reputation among serious varmint reloaders for combining match-grade precision with varmint-specific terminal performance—no hype, just proven results in the field. If you're building ammunition for long-range varmint work where accuracy and quick expansion both matter, these 90-grain boat-tails deserve a spot in your reloading bench.
| Caliber | 25 Caliber (257 Diameter) |
| Weight | 90 Grains |
| Bullet Style | Polymer Tip Boat Tail |
| Ballistic Coefficient (3100+ fps) | .388 |
| Ballistic Coefficient (2900–3100 fps) | .375 |
| Ballistic Coefficient (2400–2900 fps) | .345 |
| Ballistic Coefficient (2400 fps and below) | .330 |
These 257 diameter bullets are compatible with 25-caliber rifle cartridges such as the 25-06 Remington, 257 Roberts, and similar 25-caliber hunting and varmint rounds. Always verify your specific rifle's bore diameter and consult published reloading data for your exact cartridge before handloading.
These bullets are designed and marketed for varmints and small game. For larger game hunting, consult Sierra's recommendations for your intended use and game size.
The ballistic coefficient varies by velocity range: .388 at 3100 fps and above, .375 between 2900–3100 fps, .345 between 2400–2900 fps, and .330 at 2400 fps and below. Higher velocities yield better ballistic performance and flatter trajectories downrange.
The 90-grain boat-tail BlitzKing was created to serve long-range varmint reloaders seeking extended-range capability beyond what Sierra's lighter 20- and 22-caliber BlitzKings offer. The polymer tip and thin jacket provide explosive expansion, while the boat-tail improves ballistic efficiency for distance.
