Savage Arms
The Savage A22 is a sleek .22 LR semi-automatic rimfire rifle built for shooters who want reliable performance without sacrificing looks. This particular model pairs a matte black carbon steel receiver and barrel with a distinctive laminated beech wood thumbhole stock—a timeless aesthetic that works equally well at the range, in the field, or on the bench. At 5.7 pounds and 36 inches overall, it's nimble enough for extended shooting sessions and portable enough for transport, yet substantial enough to feel purposeful in your hands.
The A22 delivers practical accuracy and ease of use. Its user-adjustable AccuTrigger (3–5 pounds) lets you dial in the break that suits your shooting style, whether you're punching paper or hunting small game. The semi-automatic action cycles reliably on standard .22 LR ammunition, and the 10-round rotary magazine keeps you shooting without frequent reloads. A 16.5-inch barrel with a 1-in-16 twist rate stabilizes standard and high-velocity rounds. The threaded muzzle (1/2x28) accepts suppressors or other thread-on accessories—a practical feature for shooters who value hearing protection or want to experiment with different muzzles.
Build quality reflects Savage's rimfire heritage. The receiver and barrel are carbon steel with a clean matte finish; the stock is genuine wood rather than plastic, which contributes to both durability and aesthetics. An ambidextrous safety suits both left- and right-handed shooters, and the adjustable length of pull (12.75–13.75 inches) accommodates a range of shooter sizes and clothing. Two sling studs and 2-piece Weaver bases give you the foundation for optics mounting and carry options. Whether you're training, plinking, or hunting varmints, the A22 offers the balance of function and form that appeals to serious rimfire enthusiasts.
