Savage Arms
The Savage Impulse Klym in 6.5 PRC is a straight-pull action hunting rifle built for serious backcountry hunters who refuse to compromise on weight, speed, or accuracy. Built on Savage's innovative Impulse platform, the Klym pairs a Proof Research carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel barrel with an FBT carbon fiber stock to deliver a rifle light enough for high-altitude pursuits yet rigid enough to shoot tight groups when it matters. If you're packing into elk country, chasing sheep above timberline, or hunting anywhere distance and weight both count, this is the kind of tool that pays for itself in comfort and capability.
The Klym's straight-pull action isn't just a gimmick—it genuinely speeds up follow-up shots and keeps your scope picture steady when adrenaline is pumping. The AccuTrigger delivers a clean, adjustable break (tunable from 1.5 to 4 pounds), and the two-position tang safety stays accessible from both sides of the gun. Real hunters will appreciate the Magnaswitch system and dual sling studs for field-ready setup, plus the threaded 5/8x24 muzzle (with brake installed) for suppressor-ready flexibility down the road. The receiver is bedded with a 20 MOA Picatinny rail—serious glass-mounting real estate for long-range dope.
Carbon fiber throughout—barrel wrap, stock, forend, even the bolt handle—shaves pounds without sacrificing stiffness. The comb height adjusts with one button, and the additive-manufactured center section blends cutting-edge manufacturing with proven reliability. This is the kind of rifle that makes you faster in the field and eager to hike farther for the next adventure.
