Redding Reloading Equipment
The Redding Type S Elite Die Set for 6.5x47 Lapua gives precision reloaders the tools to produce match-grade ammunition with repeatable neck tension and sizing control. This three-die set includes a Type S bushing full sizing die, Type S bushing neck sizing die, and Redding's Competition Seating Die—a combination designed for shooters who demand consistency from their handloads, whether you're preparing rounds for competition, long-range hunting, or rigorous load development.
The heart of the Type S system is the interchangeable bushing design. Each bushing controls case neck diameter and tension in 0.001" increments, giving you granular adjustment without guessing or trial-and-error sizing. The bushings are free-floating, meaning they self-center on the case neck for uniform sizing accuracy shot after shot. This approach eliminates the common problem of over-working brass during the sizing stroke—critical when you're trying to maximize case life and maintain tight velocity nodes.
Redding offers bushings in standard hardened steel and optional TIN (Titanium Nitride) coated versions for reduced friction and extended die life. The Competition Seating Die rounds out the set with the precision bullet seating that serious handloaders expect from Redding. Built for 6.5x47 Lapua specifically, this set is ideal for precision rifle competitors, load developers, and hunters working with this efficient cartridge.
