Redding Reloading Equipment
The Redding 6.5x47mm Lapua Competition Bushing Neck Die is built for serious handloaders who demand consistency and precision in every round they produce. If you're loading match ammunition or preparing competition brass, this neck die offers the control and repeatability that separates sub-MOA loads from everything else. The bushing-style design lets you fine-tune neck tension independently, so you can dial in the exact fit for your rifle and brass without compromise.
What makes this die different is its engineering approach. The case neck stays fully supported in a precision-chambered sliding sleeve throughout the sizing stroke, which means less runout and more uniform results. The sizing bushing self-centers as it works, and a linear support system keeps the decapping rod aligned with exceptional accuracy—much like a firing pin in your chamber. That attention to detail compounds across a full loading session: consistent neck tension, predictable seating depth, and brass that chambers smoothly every time.
The micrometer-adjustable bushing position gives you dial-in control over how much neck material gets sized, letting you match your load to your rifle's chamber characteristics. This is especially valuable if you're working with premium brass or transitioning between firearms. Like all Redding competition dies, it's manufactured to tight tolerances and built to last through thousands of rounds.
Note that bushings and shellholders are sold separately, so you'll need to source those to match your press setup and brass caliber.
| Cartridge | 6.5x47mm Lapua |
| Die Type | Competition Bushing Neck Sizer |
| Manufacturer | Redding |
| Country of Origin | USA |
| Bushings | Sold separately |
| Shellholders | Sold separately |
Bushings and shellholders are sold separately. You'll need to source them to match your 6.5x47mm Lapua brass and your specific reloading press. Redding offers a range of sizing bushings in different diameters to tune neck tension to your rifle and brass condition.
This die is designed for precision neck sizing and is ideal for match-grade ammunition and competition loads where tight tolerances and repeatable results matter most. However, any handloader prioritizing accuracy and consistency can benefit from its design, regardless of intended use.
The full case support and self-centering bushing reduce neck runout and ensure uniform neck tension across your load. The micrometer adjustment lets you control exactly how much neck material gets sized, so you can optimize fit and tension for your specific rifle and brass. This precision compounds over a full session, resulting in more consistent velocities and tighter groups.
This is a standard Redding die designed for use with most single-stage and progressive reloading presses that accept standard die threads. Verify that your press accommodates standard die dimensions and that you have or can obtain the appropriate shellholder for your press setup.
