Redding Reloading Equipment
Precision reloading starts with controlling the smallest variables, and a Redding Type S Bushing Neck Die for 6.5 Creedmoor puts that control directly in your hands. Unlike full-length sizing dies that treat every case the same, this neck-sizing die lets you dial in exactly how much tension your brass maintains on the bullet—critical for shooters chasing consistency at distance or building match-grade ammo. The interchangeable bushing system, available in .001" increments, means you're not buying a new die to adjust fit; you're investing in fine-tuning capability that grows with your reloading needs.
The self-centering bushing design enhances case neck concentricity by allowing the bushing to float on the case neck itself, reducing runout that can throw off bullet seating and flight. If you're working with commercial brass fresh out of the box, the supplied decapping rod with standard button handles primer removal in one stroke. But if you're the type to sort and turn case necks for uniformity—and serious 6.5 Creedmoor shooters often are—the included decapping pin retainer lets you run neck sizing alone, without the button, preserving your prep work.
The adjustable decapping rod is another tool that sets this die apart: you can position the bushing to resize only the upper portion of the neck if that matches your process. For reloaders who understand that neck tension directly affects velocity consistency and accuracy, the Type S represents a meaningful step up from conventional dies. It's built for shooters who want precision without compromise and aren't afraid to dial in the details.

| Die Type | Type S Bushing Neck Die |
| Caliber | 6.5 Creedmoor |
| Bushing Increments | .001" |
A neck die sizes only the neck of the case, preserving case dimensions and allowing you to control bullet tension independently. Full-length dies resize the entire case. Neck sizing is preferred by precision reloaders and those who want to extend case life and improve concentricity.
Yes. The die comes with a standard decapping button that removes the old primer in one stroke, making it suitable for straight commercial brass. If you prefer to prep cases separately or have already turned necks, use the included decapping pin retainer to skip the button entirely.
The bushings, available in .001" increments, let you adjust neck tension to match your brass and bullet diameter. A tighter bushing increases tension; a looser one decreases it. This means you can fine-tune consistency without buying multiple dies.
