Redding Reloading Equipment
The Redding Decapping Die Kit gives reloaders a complete system for removing spent primers and preparing brass for the next loading cycle. Whether you're processing .22 rimfire cases or working with larger rifle cartridges, this kit handles the dirty work that comes before sizing and cleaning. It's the kind of foundational gear that makes case prep faster and more consistent—especially if you're volume reloading or sorting mixed headstamp brass.
The kit includes both a small and large decapping die, covering a wide range of common reloading calibers. The small die handles centerfire rounds from .22 through .50 caliber with case lengths up to 2.5 inches, making it suitable for everything from varmint rounds to magnum rifle ammo. The large die takes on bigger jobs for cases that need a heavier touch. An optional .17/.20 caliber rod is also included in the complete kit, and this rod is specially designed to work with the smaller flash holes found in precision rifle cases like PPC and BR rounds—a detail that matters if you're prepping match-grade brass.
Decapping is one of those steps that's easy to overlook until you've done it by hand a few times. Using a dedicated die in your press is faster, safer, and more uniform than hammer and punch methods. You'll push out spent primers consistently and set yourself up for clean sizing and reloading. This kit includes everything you need in one package, so you don't have to hunt down separate components.
