Redding Reloading Equipment
The Redding Competition Pistol Seating Die for .40 S&W and 10mm is engineered for reloaders who demand tight concentricity and repeatable seating depth. Built to tighter tolerances than conventional seating dies, this die uses a precision-ground seating stem that matches bullet diameter exactly, virtually eliminating the runout problems that plague standard designs. The stem actually floats on a column of air during operation—a level of precision you won't find elsewhere. If you're loading pistol rounds for competition or accuracy-critical applications, this die delivers the consistency that translates to tighter groups.
What sets this die apart is its support system. Before seating begins, both the cartridge case and bullet are completely supported and aligned in a close-fitting, precision-ground sleeve. This dual-support approach keeps everything centered, reducing concentricity variation shot to shot. The straight-line design eliminates the angular forces that bend bullets in conventional dies, preserving bullet integrity and improving accuracy potential.
The micrometer adjustment is calibrated in .001" increments and operates smoothly without detents, giving you infinitely variable seating depth control. A reference setting feature lets you lock in your preferred depth and return to it instantly, speeding up changeovers between loads or letting you replicate a proven seating depth across multiple reloading sessions. This is the kind of refinement that matters when you're chasing sub-MOA groups or competing in pistol matches where every round counts.
Note: This die is not suitable for use with compressed loads.

Yes. This die is designed for both .40 S&W and 10mm cartridges.
The micrometer is calibrated in .001" increments and is infinitely adjustable without clicks, allowing smooth, precise control over seating depth. A reference setting feature lets you mark and return to your preferred depth.
No. This die is not recommended for use with compressed loads.
The Redding Competition die is built to significantly tighter tolerances, with a precision-ground seating stem that matches bullet diameter exactly. It features a dual-support system that aligns both the case and bullet before seating begins, and its straight-line design reduces concentricity problems inherent in conventional seating dies.
