Redding Reloading Equipment
If you're loading 308 Winchester ammunition and you want the precision that separates match-grade rounds from factory fare, the Redding 308 Winchester Bushing Full Length Die Set is built to deliver it. This is a two-die set designed for reloaders who care about consistency: a Type S Bushing Full Sizing Die for controlled neck sizing and a Competition Bullet Seating Die engineered to dial in exact concentricity. Whether you're preparing rounds for a precision rifle match, a long-range hunt, or just chasing tighter groups at the range, this set gives you the control to dial in your own neck tension and seating depth.
The Type S Bushing Full Sizing Die is the heart of this system. Instead of a fixed neck opening, it uses interchangeable bushings that let you fine-tune exactly how much sizing you apply to the case neck. This approach preserves case life, reduces runout, and lets you match neck tension to your specific rifle and bullet combination—something you can't do with a standard sizing die. Full length resizing means your cases will chamber reliably in any rifle, while the bushing approach keeps you from over-working the brass.
The Competition Bullet Seating Die takes precision one step further with a micrometer dial calibrated in .001" increments, so you can seat bullets to the tenth of a thousandth. A floating seating stem follows the bullet down, reducing the chance of runout and tilting that causes concentricity issues. That translates to more consistent bullet-to-case alignment—exactly what you need when you're trying to shoot groups that matter.
This is a no-frills, serious reloading set for shooters who understand that ammunition precision compounds into accuracy. You supply the press and the brass; these dies handle the heavy lifting.
| Caliber | 308 Winchester |
| Die Type | Type S Bushing Full Length Sizing / Competition Bullet Seating |
| Set Contents | 2 dies (sizing die and seating die) |
| Seating Micrometer Increment | .001 inches |
| Seating Stem | Floating design |
The Redding 308 Winchester Bushing Full Length Die Set is designed to work with standard reloading presses. You will need a press that accepts standard die threads; consult your press manual or contact us if you're unsure about compatibility with your specific equipment.
The Type S Bushing Full Sizing Die uses interchangeable bushings to control how much the case neck is sized. This allows you to customize neck tension to your rifle and ammunition combination. Bushing sizes are sold separately, so you can choose the exact fit you need.
This is a two-die set designed to work together. The sizing die prepares your cases, and the seating die loads the bullets. Both dies are necessary to complete the reloading process for finished 308 Winchester ammunition.
The precision features—bushing sizing control, micrometer seating, and floating stem—benefit any 308 Winchester reloading, whether for hunting or target shooting. You'll get tighter, more consistent ammunition either way.
