Rearden
The Rearden R2S Flash Hider with 14×1 left-hand threads is a precision muzzle device built for shooters running Plan B-type suppressor mounts. This facemount shoulder design works with 17-4 PH Atlas and Atlas XL platforms, making it a solid choice if you're building a modular suppressed rifle and want rock-solid indexing and repeatability. The black nitride finish (67 HRC surface hardness) is durable and contributes to a tighter seal when your suppressor is mounted—but that seal only works if you do the setup right, which we'll cover below.
Rearden engineered this flash hider as part of a complete system, so compatibility and proper installation matter. The facemount shoulder design and nitride coating demand careful attention to torque specs and alignment. If suppressor accuracy and consistency are priorities for your build, this is the kind of accessory where the details make the difference between a system that performs and one that disappoints.
One thing to know upfront: Rearden's documentation notes that using this flash hider on Q suppressors voids the warranty on those cans. If you're planning to pair this with a Q suppressor, you'll want to confirm compatibility before purchasing. For Plan B and compatible mounts, this device delivers the precision fit you're paying for.

No. Using the Rearden R2S Flash Hider on a Q suppressor voids the warranty on Q cans. If you're running a Q suppressor, you'll need a different muzzle device.
The R2S is designed for Plan B-type mounts and is compatible with 17-4 PH Atlas and Atlas XL platforms. Always verify your specific suppressor's mount type before purchasing.
No, shims are not included. If you want to time this device or if your barrel doesn't have a thread relief, you may need to source shims separately.
Use an alignment rod to set up the system correctly. Clean all surfaces, torque the muzzle device to your barrel at 15–25 ft-lbs, apply Rockset, and ensure the device sits square against the shoulder. When mounting your suppressor, clean threads and tapers, then torque the suppressor to 10 ft-lbs. Proper alignment is essential for performance.
