RCBS
The RCBS MatchMaster Competition Full-Length Bushing Die Set for 6.5x47 Lapua is purpose-built for rifle reloaders who demand tight control over neck tension and bullet seating consistency. Whether you're loading match ammunition for competition or precision hunting, this three-die set combines RCBS's precision-machined neck bushings with thoughtful engineering features that reduce setup hassle and improve case longevity. The full-length sizing die with bushing system lets you dial in exactly the right amount of neck tension for your brass and bullet combination—critical for achieving the velocity consistency and accuracy that separate good loads from great ones.
The expander in this set features a titanium nitride coating that's built to last and reduce friction during case extraction. That smooth action means less wear on your brass over multiple reload cycles, and the coating also helps minimize the brass buildup that can accumulate on standard expanders. Every small reduction in case stress contributes to longer brass life and more consistent performance downrange.
The seating die is where the MatchMaster design really shines for handloaders who've dealt with the frustration of misaligned bullets or crushed fingers during the seating process. A built-in bullet loading window with retaining system holds your bullet in place while you raise the case into the die—no more fiddling with tweezers or risk of dropping rounds. The seating stem itself is micrometer adjustable, free-floating, and self-centering, giving you repeatable, precise bullet seating depth without the guesswork. Tight bullet seating consistency directly translates to tighter velocity spreads and smaller groups on paper.
If you're working with 6.5x47 Lapua brass and want a die set that rewards attention to detail with genuine accuracy improvements, this is a logical choice for a serious reloading bench.
| Caliber | 6.5x47 Lapua |
| Die Type | Full-length bushing die set (3-die) |
| Expander Coating | Titanium nitride |
| Seating Stem | Micrometer adjustable, free-floating, self-centering |
| Manufacturer | RCBS |
This three-die set includes a full-length sizing die with precision-machined neck bushings, a decapping/expander die with titanium nitride coating, and a micrometer-adjustable seating die.
Bushing dies let you fine-tune neck tension by swapping bushings of different sizes, giving you more control over how tightly the die grips your bullet. This precision is especially valuable for competition and precision rifle loads where velocity consistency matters.
Yes. The MatchMaster line is designed specifically for precision handloaders building competition and match ammunition. The micrometer seating stem, free-floating design, and bullet retaining window all contribute to the consistency needed for competitive shooting.
This die set is caliber-specific to 6.5x47 Lapua and will work with any standard reloading press (assuming your press has standard 7/8-14 TPI threads), but always verify your press and die compatibility before purchasing.
