RCBS
The RCBS Full Length Die Set for 8mm x 50R Austrian bottleneck rifle cartridges gives you the precision tooling you need to reload this classic European cartridge with confidence. This two-die set handles both the critical sizing and bullet seating stages, letting you maintain tight tolerances and consistent ammunition through every round. Whether you're working up loads for a vintage Austrian rifle or keeping a reliable caliber in the field, this die set brings RCBS's reputation for quality and accuracy to your reloading bench.
The Full-Length Sizer Die is the foundation of the set. It brings your fired cases back to SAAMI minimum dimensions, sizing the case body while simultaneously de-priming and expanding the neck to accept your bullet. The die features vents that prevent case damage from trapped air and excess lubricant—a detail that protects your brass and keeps your reloading process smooth. Headspace is held to minimum tolerances, so the sizing process won't stretch or shorten your case body, preserving case life and helping you achieve consistent velocities shot to shot.
The Seater Die completes the set with integrated bullet seating and roll crimping in one step. This dual function saves time and ensures your bullets stay put under the pressures of firing and handling. For shooters reloading less common European calibers, having a matched set designed specifically for 8mm x 50R means you're not adapting generic dies or making compromises—you're using tooling built for your cartridge.

This die set is designed for 8mm x 50R Austrian bottleneck cartridges and uses SAAMI minimum dimensions, so it will work with standard chamber specifications. If you have a rifle with a non-standard or custom chamber, verify compatibility with your specific firearm before purchasing.
This two-die set includes the essential tools for the full-length sizing and bullet seating stages. Depending on your reloading setup and process, you may also want a press, case preparation tools, and a powder measure, but this set contains the cartridge-specific dies required for loaded ammunition.
The built-in roll crimper applies a secure crimp to the bullet as it's being seated, holding the bullet firmly in the case. This is especially useful for bottleneck cartridges and rifles with feed mechanisms that generate pressure on the ammunition during feeding and firing.
The RCBS die set is designed to hold headspace at minimum tolerances, which means the sizing process should not stretch or shorten your case body. This helps preserve case life and supports consistent reloading from one firing to the next.
