The RCBS Full Length Die Set for .300 Norma Mag is a two-die reloading solution built for shooters who demand precision and consistency when loading this powerful magnum bottleneck cartridge. Whether you're preparing match-grade ammunition for long-range hunting, pushing distances at the range, or simply maximizing the performance of your .300 Norma Mag rifle, this die set handles the core tasks that turn fired brass into reliable, accurate rounds.

A full length die set includes two essential components: the full length sizing die and the seater die. The sizing die handles the heavy work—it bumps the case shoulder back to the correct dimension, sizes the body so rounds chamber smoothly on the next firing, and decaps the spent primer in one stroke. The included expander ball ensures the neck is sized to proper tension for bullet seating. To use the sizing die effectively, cases must be lubricated first, and many experienced loaders use a headspace gage to dial in the exact shoulder bump they prefer. The seater die positions bullets with precision and includes a crimp ring you can engage or disengage by adjusting die height in your press—giving you the option to crimp for rifle or competition shooting, or run without crimp if your setup prefers it.

RCBS die sets are the workhorse choice for reloaders of all experience levels. A single set often outlasts multiple barrels or complete rifles, making it a sensible long-term investment. If you're new to reloading the .300 Norma Mag, starting with a full length die set and mastering the setup process before exploring specialized alternatives is the path most respected powder slingers recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to lube my cases before using the sizing die?

Yes. Cases must be lubricated before full length sizing to ensure smooth operation and protect both your equipment and brass.

Can I adjust the crimp function on the seater die?

Absolutely. The seater die includes a crimp ring that you can engage or disable by simply raising or lowering the die position in your press. This flexibility lets you crimp when needed or skip it based on your loading preferences.

Is a full length die set suitable for beginners?

Yes. RCBS recommends that new reloaders start with a full length die set and master the setup process before exploring other die types. This set provides everything needed to learn proper case sizing, primer removal, and bullet seating.

Will this die set work with both full length sized and neck sized cases?

The seater die will seat bullets correctly in both full length sized cases and neck sized cases, giving you flexibility in how you prepare your brass.
