RCBS
The RCBS Carbide 3-Die Set for .380 ACP is purpose-built for reloaders who want to produce consistent, reliable ammunition for compact defensive pistols and range work. This set includes everything needed to resize, prime, charge, and seat bullets in straight-wall pistol brass—a complete handloading cycle in three precision tools. RCBS developed the 3-die format specifically for pistol cartridges like the .380, and it remains the standard approach for serious handloaders because it works. Whether you're loading for a Ruger LCP, Sig P238, or any other .380 ACP platform, these dies are engineered to handle the work without fuss or guesswork.
The carbide sizer die is the star of this set. Its hardened carbide sizer ring eliminates the need for case lube—you can feed brass straight from the tumbler into your press without the mess or extra step. The die sizes the case back to factory dimensions and removes spent primers in one stroke. After sizing, the expander die opens the case mouth to the right diameter and creates a slight flare (bell) to help bullets seat smoothly and feed reliably into the magazine. Finally, the seater die positions the bullet to the correct depth and applies a taper crimp, which is standard for most semi-automatic pistols and ensures rounds feed and function safely.
This is honest, straightforward reloading equipment built by a brand that's been at it longer than most. RCBS dies are known for holding tolerances, and the carbide construction means these will outlast steel dies by a wide margin, especially if you're cranking out volume. If you're ready to take control of your .380 ACP ammunition, this set delivers the basics you need without complexity or premium pricing.

Yes. These dies size and crimp to standard .380 ACP dimensions, so ammunition loaded with this set will function in any standard .380 ACP firearm, including Ruger LCP, Sig P238, Walther PPK, and similar platforms.
No. The carbide sizer ring has a hard, slick surface that requires no lubrication. You can feed unsized brass directly from your tumbler into the press, which saves time and cleanup.
A taper crimp is a light compression of the case mouth that holds the bullet in place and promotes reliable chambering and feeding in semi-automatic pistols. It's different from the roll crimp used for revolver ammunition and is the correct crimp for .380 ACP and most other pistol cartridges.
The die set includes the three dies needed to resize, prime, charge, and seat bullets. You will also need a reloading press, primers, powder, bullets, a scale, and calipers, which are sold separately.
