Radian Weapons
The Radian Weapons R0881 Ramjet + Afterburner Combo for 9mm Glock 17 is a matched barrel and compensator system built for shooters who want measurable recoil reduction without the complexity of threaded barrel setups. This combination pairs Radian's Ramjet hardened stainless steel barrel with the Afterburner compensator to deliver what the manufacturer calls match-grade accuracy in a package that stays legal everywhere you carry. If you run a Glock 17 and want a straightforward upgrade that actually reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise, this combo handles the job without requiring special tools or gunsmithing.
What makes this system different is the engineering underneath. Both the Ramjet barrel and Afterburner compensator are finished with Radianite coating—a process that creates a low-friction, high-hardness surface resistant to corrosion and muzzle blast erosion. The barrel is machined from 416R stainless steel, built to handle the daily wear of a duty or carry gun. The Afterburner itself is precision-cut stainless steel with angled front faces designed to work with your holster, not fight it during draw and reholster.
Installation and maintenance are straightforward, thanks to Radian's INTRA-LOK mounting system. The tapered locking screw interfaces with a V-groove on the barrel underside, timing the compensator as it seats on the muzzle. Slide the compensator over the barrel, tighten the screw, and you're done—no special fixtures needed. Because the design is threadless, you can remove the Ramjet barrel from your Glock slide whenever you want to clean or inspect, without wrestling with traditional threaded barrels or dealing with timing concerns.
This is a complete combo; you get both the barrel and compensator tuned to work together, not mismatched parts you hope will perform. For Glock 17 owners serious about recoil management and accuracy, the Ramjet + Afterburner is a no-compromise choice.
