Phase 5
The Phase5 Extended Bolt Release V3 in Flat Dark Earth is a precision AR-15 charging handle upgrade built for shooters who want faster reloads and smoother operation. If you run a mil-spec AR-15 or M16—whether it's a traditional receiver, billet platform, side-charger, or southpaw setup—this extended bolt release drops in to give you a larger, more accessible lever positioned right where your index finger naturally falls. The result: quicker bolt manipulation, cleaner jam clearing, and fewer awkward hand transitions during dynamic shooting or high-volume range sessions.
Phase5 engineered the EBRv3 from heat-treated 8620 steel using a monolithic construction that keeps things rigid and reliable. The lever itself is kept low-profile so it won't snag on gear or become a weak point in your platform, yet the extended reach and textured grip surface (serrations on both the elbow and end of the lever) give you solid purchase when you need it. That larger index-finger tab makes the bolt release intuitive—whether you're running left-handed or standard configurations, the geometry works.
This is one of those parts that doesn't sound revolutionary until you actually shoot with it. Once you've felt the difference between fishing for a standard bolt catch and simply pushing a lever that's *there* where your hand already is, it's hard to go back. FDE finish matches modern tactical builds and weathers like a tool, not a fashion piece.

| Product | Extended Bolt Release Version 3 (EBRv3) |
| Finish | Flat Dark Earth (FDE) |
| Material | Heat-treated 8620 steel |
| Design | Monolithic |
| Compatibility | Mil-spec AR-15/M16 receivers, billet receivers, side-charging uppers, left-handed weapons |
Yes, the EBRv3 is compatible with all mil-spec AR-15 and M16 receiver sets, as well as many billet receivers, side-charging uppers, and left-handed configurations. If you're running a standard or modern AR-pattern rifle, this will fit.
The extended reach and larger index-finger tab position the lever directly in the path of your natural hand movement, eliminating the need to reposition your grip or search for a small catch. This means faster reloads, quicker jam clearance, and more intuitive operation under stress or during high-volume shooting.
The serrations are added to both the elbow and end of the lever to provide controlled grip without being overly aggressive or uncomfortable during normal handling. They're designed to give you positive feedback and purchase when you need precision manipulation.
Yes, the Phase5 EBRv3 is compatible with side-charging and other alternative AR-15 platforms, not just standard mil-spec uppers.
