Traditions
The Traditions Pursuit VAPR XT LDR is a long-range inline muzzleloader engineered for hunters who demand lightweight performance without sacrificing accuracy or features. Built on the NW (Northwest) platform with musket cap ignition—required in Idaho and Oregon—this 30-inch Cerakote-barreled rifle combines modern ballistics engineering with practical field design. At just 6 pounds, it's lean enough to pack deep into rough country, yet stable enough to deliver consistent long-range shots when it matters most.
The fast-twist 1:24" barrel is specifically designed to stabilize modern high-BC muzzleloading projectiles, giving you the velocity and bullet compatibility that serious distance shooters demand. The Cerakote finish on the barrel and action provides durability that outperforms stainless steel in corrosion resistance—critical in wet climates and salt air. A streamlined receiver with integrated grips and a wider fore-end keeps the gun secure in harsh weather and during quick shouldering in the field.
Loading is straightforward: the break-action design opens with a single fast-action release button, and the NW Accelerator Breech Plug unscrews with just three hand turns—no tools required. The included Quick-T Ramrod Handle works as both a palm saver and T-handle in one, screwing on for comfortable loading and cleaning, then sliding on the ramrod for storage. A dual-safety system (internal hammer block and trigger block) rounds out the safety architecture.
The rifle ships complete with Williams Fiber Optic Sights and sling swivel studs, so you're ready to hunt out of the box. Note: if you hunt in states outside Idaho and Oregon, Traditions offers the A1513 Conversion Kit to switch this rifle to 209 primer ignition, making it adaptable across the continent.
