Nighthawk Custom
The Nighthawk Custom 1911 Hammer in stainless steel is a match-grade trigger component engineered for shooters who demand precision and durability in their 1911 platform pistol. Designed in collaboration with renowned 1911 gunsmith Bob Marvel, this hammer combines old-school craftsmanship with modern manufacturing to deliver a crisp, reliable letoff that rivals factory offerings and outlasts casual use by a significant margin. If you're building or upgrading a 1911 and want a trigger component that won't compromise accuracy or reliability, this is a serious choice.
Machined from solid tool steel bar stock and hardened to exacting specifications, the hammer resists wear through thousands of rounds without losing its sharp engagement geometry. The design incorporates precision-cut hooks and a properly sized pin hole to ensure correct fit and function in your receiver—a detail that matters when you're staking your accuracy on trigger consistency. The large, oval cutout in the spur keeps mass minimal without sacrificing strength, and crisp serrations across the cocking surface prevent your thumb from slipping during manual manipulation.
One important note: the engagement surface arrives ready for final grinding and polishing, which means you'll be working with a gunsmith to fit and tune it to your specific pistol. This isn't a drop-in part—it requires professional fitting for proper function and safety. That extra step ensures your letoff performs exactly as intended and meets safety standards for reliable ignition and reset.
Whether you're assembling a custom 1911, restoring a vintage platform, or simply upgrading a tired trigger, the Nighthawk Custom hammer delivers the quality you'd expect from a name built on precision 1911 work.
