Mossberg
The Mossberg Silver Reserve 12 gauge over/under shotgun with an 18.5" barrel is built for shooters who need a compact, no-nonsense firearm for home defense, sport shooting, or hunting in tight spaces. This break-action design combines the reliability Mossberg is known for with practical features like dual-locking lugs for solid lockup and a chrome-lined barrel system that handles repeated firing and resists corrosion. The short barrel and overall length of 36" make it maneuverable indoors or in brush, while the 2-round capacity keeps things straightforward.
What sets this Silver Reserve apart is its thoughtful defensive layout: an elevated front fiber optic sight for quick target acquisition, top and under-barrel Picatinny rails for mounting optics or lights, and a tang-mounted safety that doubles as your barrel selector. The synthetic black stock is durable, weather-resistant, and designed for a 14.5" length of pull. Extractors (rather than ejectors) mean you control your empties—useful for reloads or keeping brass on the ground. The cylinder bore choke gives you a wide spread suitable for close-quarters work.
Silver Reserve shotguns have earned a solid reputation for doing the job without drama. This 18.5" model weighs 6.75 pounds, striking a balance between enough heft for recoil management and enough lightness to move around. Whether you're setting up a truck gun, a home-defense shotgun, or exploring what an over/under can do, this Mossberg delivers proven mechanics and practical features in a compact package.

This shotgun has extractors, which pivot the fired shell cases out of the chamber when you break open the action. You manually remove them from the gun. Ejectors would spring-eject them automatically. Extractors give you more control—useful if you want to keep brass or keep cases from flying away.
Yes. The Silver Reserve features both top and under-barrel Picatinny rails, so you can add a tactical light, laser, or optic as your setup requires. The elevated fiber optic front sight is also designed to coexist with rail-mounted gear.
The compact 18.5" barrel, maneuverable 36" overall length, fiber optic sight, and rail system all support home-defense use. The 3" chamber and cylinder bore choke allow a wide, predictable pattern. Always ensure you have proper training and understand your local laws before using any firearm for defense.
The 12 gauge 3" chamber accepts standard 2.75" shells and 3" magnum shells. Refer to the owner's manual and ammunition manufacturer guidance for load recommendations and safe usage.
