Montana Decoy
The Montana Decoy Co Deer Rump is a lightweight, packable whitetail decoy designed for hunters who need versatility without the bulk. At just 32 ounces with leg poles, this decoy folds down to 16" x 8"—small enough to pack alongside your other gear—yet unfolds to a full 34" x 21" profile that commands attention during the hunt. Whether you're working a rut, cruising transition corridors, or glassing from a distance, the compact footprint means you can carry it on every hunt without regret.
What sets the Deer Rump apart is its modular design. Two replaceable Teaser Tails ship with the decoy, letting you dial in the exact amount of motion and realism your setup demands on any given day. If you run scent—and many serious whitetail hunters do—you can add it directly to the Teaser Tail and swap tails when you want a fresh scent profile or prefer to hunt without added odor. That flexibility transforms a single decoy into a year-round tool.
The Deer Rump doesn't require a solo performance either. Run it standalone in tight cover or pair it with other Montana Decoy elk decoys to create a mixed-species scenario or a family group that stretches a buck's curiosity. The design keeps setup simple—no complex assembly, no excessive weight—so you can focus on positioning and wind rather than gear management.
This is a workhorse for the minimalist hunter: someone who values portability over trailer loads of decoys, who changes tactics mid-season, and who trusts a single, well-made decoy more than collection anxiety.
