The Midwest Industries Combat M-LOK handguard is a free-float rail system built for AR-15 shooters who want serious modularity without compromising accuracy. At 9.25 inches, this aluminum handguard sits between compact and mid-length options, giving you enough real estate for accessories while keeping your rifle balanced. The free-float design isolates the barrel from the handguard, letting your barrel harmonics settle naturally—a real advantage if you're chasing groups at distance or running a precision build.
The Combat handguard leverages seven rows of M-LOK slots around the body, so you can stake on lights, grips, and other gear wherever they make sense for your shooting style. The full-length Picatinny rail on top gives you a clean mounting surface for optics, and the two quick-detach sling sockets feature anti-rotation cups that hold a sling attachment solid. Everything is machined from aluminum and heat-treated barrel nut included, along with an installation wrench, so you've got what you need to get it mounted.
Midwest Industries manufactures this handguard in the USA. Note that it's designed for standard AR-15 platforms and won't work with gas-piston AR rifles or some billet upper receiver designs—verify compatibility with your specific upper before ordering. If you're running a DI (direct impingement) AR with a standard upper, this is a straightforward swap that'll give your rifle a genuine performance boost and a modular foundation for future builds.
