Meprolight
The Meprolight ML880502 MicroRDS Kit brings red dot versatility to your Sig Sauer 226 or 320 without requiring gunsmith work. This quick-detach mounting solution uses the pistol's existing rear dovetail slot to attach Meprolight's compact microRDS optic—letting you add a modern red dot to a platform that wasn't originally cut for one. What makes it stand out is the ability to remove and remount the sight repeatedly while maintaining zero, a feature most QD systems struggle with. If you've been weighing the cost of a slide cut against the appeal of a red dot pistol, this kit solves that dilemma at a fraction of the price.
At its core is the 1x 3 MOA illuminated red dot, sized for quick target acquisition at close to intermediate distances. The small form factor keeps the sight lightweight and compact—designed first and foremost for handguns, though it'll also work as a backup or secondary optic on rifles and shotguns. The large sight window maximizes your field of view for both-eyes-open shooting in any light: bright sun, dusk, or pitch-black scenarios. Battery management is straightforward: a single CR2032 powers the illumination, and you can swap it out without unmounting the sight from your slide.
The kit includes Meprolight's TruDot self-illuminated sight, which serves double duty as a backup iron sight. If you want to run the pistol without the red dot, the TruDot stays in place, eliminating the need to re-zero. It's a practical approach for shooters who value redundancy and flexibility in their duty or carry setup. The patented quick-detach design means no tools, no re-zeroing, no gunsmith visits—just mount it in the existing dovetail and run it.

Yes. While designed primarily for pistols, the Mepro microRDS can serve as a secondary or backup optic on rifles and shotguns. Compatibility will depend on the specific mounting system of those firearms.
