Martin
The Martin Caddis Creek fly combo puts a complete, matched fly-fishing setup in your hands—a 9-foot, two-piece fly rod paired with a single-action reel, all sized for 5/6-weight lines. If you're stepping into fly fishing for the first time, or you need a no-fuss rig for small streams and creeks, this combo strips away the guesswork of pairing rod and reel separately. Everything you get works together out of the box.
The two-piece construction makes the 9-foot rod easy to transport and assemble, and that length is a solid all-arounder for freshwater fly casting—long enough to cover distance and mend line, short enough to stay manageable in brushy water or tight quarters. The 5/6-weight rating handles a range of typical trout flies and light streamers without asking you to master a specialized setup. The CC68 single-action reel is straightforward: no bells, no automatic retrieval, just a reliable mechanical foundation that focuses on smooth drag and durability.
This is practical gear for anglers who want to learn the fundamentals without overthinking equipment, or a solid backup rig for someone already versed in fly fishing. It's built to work, not to impress, which is exactly what creek fishing demands.
| Rod Length | 9 feet |
| Rod Pieces | 2 |
| Weight Rating | 5/6 weight |
| Reel Model | CC68 (single-action) |
Yes. The Caddis Creek combo pairs everything you need in one package—rod and reel matched and ready. A 9-foot, 5/6-weight setup is forgiving enough to learn on and versatile enough to fish a range of common freshwater scenarios without specialized knowledge.
The 9-foot, 5/6-weight combination works well on creeks and small to medium rivers targeting trout with typical dry flies, nymphs, and light streamers. It's at home in the kind of broken, moving water where creek fishing happens.
The rod is a two-piece design, which makes it easier to transport and store than a single-piece rod while remaining quick and simple to assemble in the field.
