Magpul
The Magpul SSG Ambidextrous Safety Selector for FN SCAR 16S is a drop-in replacement that puts positive, switchable fire control in reach of either thumb. If you run a SCAR 16S and want faster, more intuitive selector manipulation—whether you're left-handed, right-handed, or simply prefer ambidextrous ergonomics—this matte-finish safety upgrade delivers the responsiveness that comes from a design born in the field. Magpul built the SSG at the request of a deploying military unit that demanded better control over the original selector, and the result is a direct bolt-on that requires zero permanent modification to your rifle.
Installation is straightforward: the SSG uses the existing set screw on your SCAR 16S, so you won't need special tools or parts beyond what you likely have on hand. The dual-sided design means your thumb (or trigger finger, depending on your technique) can safely engage and disengage the selector from either side of the receiver—a genuine advantage in close-quarters work, transitions between shooting positions, or simply operating the gun more intuitively with your natural hand position.
Made in the USA and built to Magpul's reputation for rugged, combat-proven ergonomics, the SSG selector is compatible specifically with the civilian SCAR 16S platform. The matte finish resists glare and fits the aesthetic of a modern tactical rifle without fuss or fanfare.

The SSG is compatible with the FN SCAR 16S (civilian semi-automatic model). It was also designed with military MK16 and MK17 weapons in mind but is sold here for the SCAR 16S platform only.
