Magpul
The Magpul Mag1422-Blk Stock is a lightweight, purpose-built replacement for Remington 700 short-action rifles that refuses to compromise on features for the sake of saving weight. If you're running a short-action .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, or any other compact magnum, this hunter-focused stock delivers the ergonomics, accuracy support, and modularity you expect from Magpul—but trims nearly 25% off the weight and significantly slims the forend compared to the original Hunter Stock. That's the kind of advantage that matters on a long day in the field or on the mountainside.
Built around an extruded aluminum V-bedding block with reinforced steel pillars, the stock provides consistent, rigid support that helps your rifle shoot to its potential. The design is ambidextrous-ready—swap the included inserts to convert from right-hand to left-hand, so whether you're left-eye-dominant or planning to pass the rifle to a hunting partner, you're covered. Length of pull adjusts from 13 to 15 inches using the included spacers, and the snap-on cheek riser lets you dial in comb height to match your optic and natural shooting position. Sling swivel studs are integral to both butt and forend, and the enlarged trigger guard makes room for shooting gloves and easy access to the ambidextrous magazine release. M-LOK slots across the forend accept any of your favorite modern accessories, while the stamped steel over-insertion tabs ensure your magazine seats repeatably every time. The stock is compatible with factory Remington barrels and most aftermarket profiles up to Medium Palma diameter, though note that Remington's hinged floor-plate magazines won't work with the integral magazine well.
Made in the USA, the Magpul Hunter Lite stock for Remington 700 short action is the go-to upgrade for hunters and precision shooters who refuse to leave weight on the table. Whether you're building a lightweight backpack rifle or refreshing an older 700, this stock delivers genuine refinement.
