Magpul
The Magpul DT-PR carbine stock is a precision rifle variant built for shooters who demand tight mechanics and rock-solid repeatability without the premium price tag of purpose-built precision stocks. Built around Magpul's proprietary Dual-Tension (DT) adjustment system, this mil-spec stock eliminates play between the buffer tube and stock body along the entire length of pull—a detail that matters when you're chasing tight groups at distance or maintaining consistent cheek weld across multiple shooting positions. The patent-pending DT system also minimizes the annoying snag of facial hair and skin that plagues traditional stocks, letting you focus on the shot instead of comfort distractions.
The DT-PR is shaped with precision shooting in mind. A contoured butt-pad delivers solid shoulder purchase while keeping contact away from your collar bone, so you can shoot comfortably in both heads-up optic work and traditional prone position. The extended bottom edge doubles as a steadying platform for bag rigs—drop it on a squeeze bag prone and you'll feel the difference in stability. But don't mistake this for a bench-only stock; the compact, ergonomic profile and ambidextrous control lever keep it fully functional for tactical and field applications where you need to move fast. The sloped cheek weld is slim enough to stay out of your way but shaped to guide consistent head placement when you're behind glass.
Sling options are plentiful. An integral, rotation-limiting QD cup (ambidextrous, fits swivels up to 1.5 inches) comes standard. The rear M-LOK slot works as a footman's loop or accepts an optional M-LOK QD mount for push-button attachment. Side M-LOK slots accept Magpul's CTR Cheek Risers if you need adjustable comb height on a fully extended stock or a rifle without a rear-facing charging handle. The DT-PR comes in Magpul's rugged Olive Drab green and is made in the USA. Fits standard mil-spec carbine receiver extension tubes from all major manufacturers—not included.
| Platform Compatibility | AR10, AR15, M4, M16, M110, SR25 |
| Receiver Extension | Mil-Spec carbine tube (standard flat-back, not included) |
| Length of Pull (Collapsed) | ~11.0 in. |
| Length of Pull (Extended) | ~14.3 in. |
| LOP Adjustment Range | 3.3 in. |
| Overall Length (Max) | 7.4 in. |
| Overall Height (Max) | 5.3 in. |
| Overall Width (Max) | 1.6 in. |
| Color | Olive Drab (ODG) |
| QD Swivel Capacity | Up to 1.5 in. (ambidextrous) |
The DT-PR is designed for mil-spec (military-standard) carbine receiver extensions—the common flat-back tube found on most modern AR platforms. It will not fit commercial-spec tubes, which have a different diameter. The stock itself does not include a buffer tube; you'll need to source a mil-spec tube separately.
Yes. The DT-PR has side M-LOK slots that accept Magpul's CTR Cheek Risers when the stock is fully extended or on rifles without rear-facing charging handles. This lets you adjust comb height for better optic alignment and sight picture.
The DT-PR is specifically the precision rifle (PR) variant of the Dual-Tension series. Its contoured shape, extended bottom edge for bag rigs, and tight Dual-Tension system make it well-suited for precision work, though the compact profile and ambidextrous controls keep it functional for field and tactical use as well.
The DT-PR includes an integral, ambidextrous rotation-limiting QD cup that accepts swivels up to 1.5 inches. The rear M-LOK slot can function as a footman's loop for direct sling attachment or accept an optional M-LOK QD mount for push-button swivel attachment. It's also compatible with Magpul's ASAP and ASAP QD receiver-mount systems.
