Lyman
If you reload ammunition, you know that clean brass is the foundation of consistent, safe rounds. The Lyman Turbo Brass Cleaning Media Untreated Tufnut Walnut is a 7-pound supply of walnut-based tumbling media designed to restore tarnished and fired cartridge cases to a polished, ready-to-load condition. This untreated walnut media works in any rotary tumbler—drop your brass in, run it for a few hours, and you'll get cases that are clean, bright, and visibly renewed. It's a straightforward, proven approach to batch cleaning that beats hand-polishing by a mile.
Reloaders choose walnut media for its gentle but effective cutting action. Unlike aggressive media or liquid solutions, walnut doesn't require messy additives or complicated cleanup—just load, tumble, and inspect. The 7-pound quantity gives you enough media for substantial brass loads, and since it's untreated, you control the whole process without worrying about media dust or chemical residue on your cases.
Whether you're prepping brass for precision rifle loads, pistol ammunition, or high-volume shotgun reloading, this media works across calibers and case types. It's a staple in serious reloaders' shops because it delivers consistent results without fuss or expense.

This walnut media is designed for use in rotary tumblers. A 7-pound supply works well with standard hobby and mid-size tumblers; check your specific tumbler's capacity to determine how many batches you'll run per fill.
This is untreated media, which means it comes dry and ready to use straight from the bag. You simply load your brass and tumble—no additives, polishes, or liquids required.
Yes. Walnut media cleans fired brass across rifle, pistol, and shotgun cases of all calibers. The gentle action makes it suitable for routine cleaning without risk of damage to case walls or primer pockets.
Most reloaders see visibly clean, polished brass after a few hours of tumbling, though exact time depends on your tumbler speed, media load density, and how tarnished the brass is to begin with.
