The LMT MWS 7.62x51 NATO 13.5" carbine-length barrel is a chrome-lined, direct impingement barrel purpose-built for LMT Monolithic Weapon System upper receivers. This is a complete drop-in solution: it arrives with a low-profile gas block, straight gas tube, and A2 flash hider already fitted, so you can focus on assembly rather than sourcing compatible components. The 1:10" right-hand twist rifling is optimized for the full range of 7.62x51 NATO ammunition, from military surplus to quality commercial rounds, making it a versatile platform for both range work and field use.
LMT's chromoly construction and chrome lining deliver the durability and corrosion resistance you need in a service rifle. The 13.5" length strikes a practical balance for carbine-profile builds—short enough for mobile shooting and vehicle operations, long enough to maintain velocity and reliability with 7.62 NATO. Whether you're building a dedicated MWS upper or upgrading an existing system, this barrel maintains the tight tolerances and precision machining LMT is known for.
Installation is straightforward if you have a proper barrel vise and armorer's wrench; if you don't, a gunsmith can get it sorted quickly. This barrel integrates seamlessly with LMT MWS receivers and components, so compatibility isn't a concern—just verify your upper is MWS-spec and you're ready to go.
| Caliber | 7.62x51 NATO |
| Barrel Length | 13.5" |
| Rifling Twist Rate | 1:10" RH |
| Material | Chromoly, chrome lined |
| Operating Method | Direct Impingement |

Yes. This barrel is designed as a direct fit for LMT Monolithic Weapon System (MWS) upper receivers. Verify your upper is MWS-spec and installation is straightforward with standard armorer tools.
The 1:10" right-hand twist is optimized for the full spectrum of 7.62x51 NATO ammunition, including military surplus, match-grade, and commercial loads. It's a proven twist rate for this cartridge across a range of bullet weights and designs.
The barrel arrives complete with a low-profile gas block, straight gas tube, and A2 flash hider installed. You won't need to source these components separately.
The 13.5" carbine length is shorter than traditional long-range barrels, which trade some velocity for a more compact package. It's well-suited to field work, vehicle mounting, and mid-range accuracy; if extreme long-range performance is your priority, consider longer barrel options.
