Lee Precisiom
The Lee Steel 90270 3-Die Set for .357 Sig gives you a complete reloading solution for this popular defensive pistol cartridge without the premium price tag of carbide dies. Whether you're handloading ammunition for competition, training, or carry, this three-die set handles the core operations—sizing, expanding, and seating—with proven steel construction. Because steel dies require case lubricant during the sizing process, you'll want to keep a quality lube on hand, but the tradeoff is a solid, durable setup that works reliably for thousands of rounds.
This set delivers the essentials for reloading .357 Sig: a full-length sizing die to prepare fired brass, a powder-through expanding die that resizes and flares the case mouth in one stroke, and a bullet seating die for precise bullet placement. The included universal shell holder fits your press, and you'll get a powder dipper to help with charge weight starting points and the load data you need to begin safely. It's a straightforward, no-frills approach to reloading that appeals to shooters who want functional equipment without flashy features.
Lee has been the go-to name for budget-conscious reloaders for decades, and the Steel 3-Die Set carries that tradition. If you're new to handloading .357 Sig or you reload high volumes and want to keep consumable costs down, these dies are a smart choice. They'll give you consistent results and hold up to years of use if you treat them right—which mainly means using case lube and keeping them clean.
The Lee Steel 3-Die Set includes a universal shell holder, which fits Lee presses and most other single-stage and turret presses. Always verify that your press accepts a universal shell holder before purchasing.
Yes, steel dies require a case lubricant during the sizing operation to prevent sticking and galling. Carbide dies don't require lube, which is convenient but comes at a higher cost. Steel dies are durable and reliable when used with proper lube, making them an economical choice for high-volume handloaders.
The powder-through expanding die in this set does double duty: it resizes the case and expands the case mouth to accept the bullet, all in one stroke. This streamlines the reloading process and is standard in Lee 3-die rifle and pistol sets.
Load data for .357 Sig is included with this set, so you can get started immediately. For more detailed information or alternative loads, a reloading manual is always a good reference, but the included data will get you going.
