Lee Precisiom
Precision handloaders working with 30-06 Springfield rifles know that case neck tension makes a real difference in accuracy and consistency. The Lee Precision 90960 Collet Neck Sizing Die is built around a collet mechanism that squeezes case necks against a precision mandrel—a fundamentally different approach from traditional full-length sizing. Instead of pushing the neck over a button, the collet's concentric grip produces minimal runout and lets you dial in the exact bullet fit your rifle prefers.
The 30-06 is a workhorse for hunters, long-range shooters, and precision rifle competitors, and this die addresses a key variable they control: how much neck tension—and therefore initial pressure—grips the bullet on the jump to the lands. By sizing the neck consistently without expanding it, you can seat bullets out far enough to touch or nearly touch the rifling, achieving the same controlled launch pressure you'd normally chase with a crimp, but with the repeatability a quality die should provide.
This collet neck sizer is straightforward to use in any standard reloading press and integrates easily into a established 30-06 loading routine. It's a tool for reloaders who are serious about group consistency and willing to spend time understanding how neck tension affects their ammunition's performance.

A collet neck sizer grips the case neck against a precision mandrel using a collet mechanism, rather than pushing the neck over a button or ring. This collet design produces tighter, more consistent neck tension and lower runout, which supports better accuracy and more controlled bullet seating.
Yes. The Lee Precision 90960 Collet Neck Sizing Die for 30-06 is designed to work in any standard reloading press.
Yes. The collet's ability to control neck tension and minimize runout makes it useful for precision and long-range shooting, where consistency in bullet seating and initial pressure is critical to group size.
This die is sized specifically for 30-06 Springfield cartridges.
