The Lee 90055 is a bullet sizing and lubricating kit built for serious cast bullet reloaders who want speed and simplicity at the press. If you're casting your own projectiles, this .452-diameter sizer die handles the critical step of sizing cast bullets to safe, consistent dimensions before they go downrange. The kit threads into any single-stage reloading press using standard 7/8x14 threads, so there's no need for additional equipment or adapters.
What sets this Lee sizing kit apart is its straightforward, efficient design. Bullets go nose-first through the sizing die—no specialized nose punches required. The punch and case that come with the kit handle the push-through operation, and the included container captures your sized bullets as they exit, keeping your bench organized. If you're working with gas-check bullets, the kit will seat and crimp the gas check in place automatically as the bullet passes through the die, which is a real time-saver when you're processing dozens or hundreds of cast rounds.
This is a complete kit for .452-diameter casting, though you'll need to source your press and bullet lubricant separately. The Lee approach to sizing is all about removing complexity—no top punches, no complicated setups, just a nose-first push that gets the job done. It's the kind of tool that appeals to reloaders who want reliability and efficiency without overthinking the process.

The Lee 90055 uses standard 7/8x14 threads and is designed for single-stage reloading presses. If your press accepts standard shell holders with 7/8x14 threads, this kit will fit. However, Lee specifically notes this kit is intended for single-stage presses only, so press type matters.
Yes. The kit will automatically seat and crimp gas checks as cast bullets pass nose-first through the sizing die. To do this, first lubricate your bullets with liquid alox, push a gas check onto the bullet's base, set the bullet on the punch, and push it through the die. The sizing die does the work of crimping the gas check in place.
Liquid alox is specified for use with this kit when sizing and crimping gas checks. The lubricant is not included, so you'll need to source it separately.
No. Lee notes it does not make top punches for molds, and the sizing kit design eliminates the need for one. The punch included with the kit is all you need for the sizing operation.
