The Lee Precision Lube & Size Kit (.429 diameter) gives you a streamlined way to process cast bullets on any single-stage reloading press. Whether you're working with lead cast projectiles for pistol or revolver loads, this kit handles sizing and gas-check seating in one straightforward operation—no need to hunt down special nose punches or fiddle with complicated setups. Just lubricate your bullets, set a gas check, and run them through the die. The sizing die itself is threaded 7/8x14, fitting standard press platforms, and the included punch does double duty in place of a shell holder.
This kit is built around the straightforward push-through design Lee pioneered: bullets go nose-first through the die, get sized to consistent diameter, and have their gas checks automatically seated and crimped in place during the same stroke. A capture container catches the finished rounds, keeping your bench organized. The .429 sizing die works for cast bullets with a groove diameter of .428 inches or smaller; if you're loading cast projectiles, matching the right die size to your bullet dimensions ensures proper fit and performance.
Keep in mind that this kit is designed for single-stage presses only and requires a separate reloading press and bullet lubricant (typically Lee Liquid Alox or equivalent). The punch replaces your shell holder in the ram, eliminating one more part to manage. It's an efficient setup for handloaders who cast their own bullets and want a no-fuss way to prepare them for loading.

Yes. You'll need a single-stage reloading press (not included) and bullet lubricant, such as Lee Liquid Alox, to lubricate the cast bullets before sizing.
Lubricate your bullets with liquid alox, press a gas check onto the base of each bullet, then set the bullet on the punch in your press. As you push the bullet through the sizing die, it will be sized to diameter and the gas check will be seated and crimped automatically in one stroke.
The .429 sizing die is intended for cast bullets with a groove diameter of .428 inches or smaller. Choose a sizing kit approximately .001" larger than your bullet's groove diameter for proper fit.
