Lantac
The Lantac Lamprey 5.56 flash hider brings a distinctive toothed four-tine design to your AR platform, engineered to disrupt gas flow more efficiently than traditional brake designs. Built on a patented geometry, this 1/2x28 muzzle device combines flash signature reduction with recoil management, making it a solid choice for shooters who want better control downrange without abandoning practicality. Whether you're running suppressed or unsuppressed, the Lamprey's vertical port layout and internal baffle design work together to tame the blast signature your rifle produces—an especially useful feature in low-light training, tactical applications, or anywhere muzzle flash matters.
The toothed tine configuration is where the Lamprey earns its reputation. Unlike smooth or simple slotted designs, the patented tooth geometry shears and disrupts muzzle gases more aggressively, reducing both flash intensity and duration. That means less visible signature in your optic, less disturbance to nearby shooters, and better overall weapon control when follow-up shots count. The six vertical ports manage gas energy predictably, keeping the muzzle rise minimal and your sight picture steady.
One standout feature: the Lamprey is compatible with the Plan-B HUB, opening the door to a modular muzzle platform if you decide to experiment with other configurations down the road. It threads directly onto 1/2x28 AR-15 barrels—the industry standard for 5.56 rifles. Constructed to strict quality standards, the Lamprey is built to last through years of hot range sessions and field use.
| Caliber | 5.56 NATO |
| Thread Pitch | 1/2x28 |
| Design | Flash hider with internal baffle |
| Port Configuration | Six vertical ports |
| Compatibility | Plan-B HUB compatible |
Yes—it's designed for 5.56 NATO barrels with 1/2x28 threads, the standard thread pitch for most modern AR-15 rifles in that caliber. Verify your barrel's thread pitch before purchase.
The Lamprey is optimized to reduce muzzle flash signature through its toothed tine design and internal baffle. While it does help manage recoil via its port design, its primary purpose is flash reduction rather than maximum recoil control.
The Lamprey is compatible with the Plan-B HUB system, which enables a modular muzzle platform for future upgrades or configuration changes.
The patented tooth geometry on the four tines disrupts and shears muzzle gases more efficiently than smooth designs, reducing flash intensity and duration while improving overall gas management.
