The Kershaw Secret Agent 4007 is a fixed blade tactical knife built for concealed carry and personal defense. This is the kind of knife you keep where others won't see it—ankle rig, waistband, or gear bag—ready for the moment you actually need a blade. With a 4.4-inch single-edged blade finished in non-reflective black oxide and a compact design, the Secret Agent balances serious cutting capability with the low-profile discretion that defines a purpose-built backup knife.

Kershaw heat-treated the blade to exacting standards and applied the black-oxide finish for both appearance and corrosion resistance. The handle is glass-filled nylon with a textured rubber overmold—rough enough to stay put in your hand when things get real, tough enough to take whatever treatment a backup knife endures. A lanyard hole gives you options for deployment or retention, depending on your setup.

The dual-carry molded sheath is where the Secret Agent earns its versatility. You get a belt clip for standard carry and slots that let you add your own leg straps if that's your preference. It's the kind of practical thinking that separates a knife designed by people who actually deploy gear from one that just looks the part. Whether you're looking for a backup blade for hiking, hunting, or tactical work, the Secret Agent delivers functionality without the bulk.

Frequently Asked Questions

What carry options does the Secret Agent sheath support?

The dual-carry molded sheath includes a belt clip for standard waistband carry and built-in slots where you can add your own leg-carry straps. The blade also features a lanyard hole for additional carrying or retention methods.

Is the Secret Agent suitable for hunting and outdoor use?

Yes. While designed as a tactical backup knife and personal defense tool, the Secret Agent's 4.4-inch blade and heat-treated steel make it equally viable for camp tasks, field dressing, and general utility cutting in hunting and outdoor settings.

What's included with the knife?

Each Kershaw Secret Agent 4007 comes with the fixed blade knife and the molded dual-carry sheath with belt clip. Leg-carry straps are not included but can be added to the sheath's dedicated slots.

Is the black-oxide finish durable?

The black-oxide coating serves both protective and aesthetic purposes—it resists corrosion and maintains a non-reflective appearance. Like any finish, it can show wear with hard use, but it's designed to hold up to the demanding role of a tactical/backup knife.
